Compost Facility

	Residents can take extra yard waste to the compost pile on Austie Shadle Drive.
	The facility is seasonal and is open from April through November.
	It is open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
	Residents can drop off yard waste, brush, dirt and rocks.
	Residents can also pick up leaf compost when available at no charge.
	Anyone using the compost facility must show proof of residency, such as a driver's license.
	Compost facility is for residential use only, not commercial use.

Recycling

	Unlimited recycling is picked up on your normal trash day.
	Recycling, except papers, must be placed in garbage bags with the yellow recycle tags attached. These tags are available at City Hall and numerous stores throughout town.
	Plastics that are 1 and 2, steel and aluminum cans and glass bottles can all be recycled by placing them in bags with the attached yellow recycle tag.
	Recycling bins for newspapers, magazines, junk mail, school papers, and cardboard are available from the Sanitation Department. Call (419) 668-7122 to make arrangements to have one dropped off.
	These items may also be placed in a brown paper bag or plastic grocery bag with the top left open so the papers can be dumped into the truck.
	Large amounts of cardboard must be flattened and tied to prevent the items from blowing into neighboring properties.

Trash Collection

	Garbage is picked up once a week. The service is paid for by a 1/4 percent income tax. You may call the Sanitation Department to determine the pick up day for your address.
	Residents can place at the curb three cans or bags of trash per household.
	Cans and bags must not exceed 33 gallons in size and not weigh more then 40 pounds each.
	Garbage must not be placed at the curb before 4:00 p.m. the night before pickup and trash cans must be removed from the curb by 6:00 a. m. the day following your trash pick up.
	Any large items or extra bags of trash can be picked up by placing a refuse sticker on each item.
	The cost for stickers is $3 for a can or bag not exceeding 33 gallons in size and $10 for an oversized can or bag, appliance (Freon-free), or piece of furniture.
	These stickers can be purchased at City Hall.

Yard Waste Collection

	The Sanitation Department picks up yard waste at curbside from May until November on your normal trash day.
	Residences are allowed two cans or two bundles of yard waste per dwelling.
	Cans must not be more than 33 gallons in size and not weigh more then 40 pounds each.
	Cans must be clearly marked "yard waste."
	Bundles must be tied, less than 4 feet in length and weigh less then 40 pounds.
